Alcatraz Hospital and the Paranormal . . .

We blogged an article about the Hospital within the prison building and the continuing interest by paranormal enthusiasts . . . and it disappeared! Lets try to get this one past ‘em:

Hospital Ward furnished to 1930's style

Located directly above the cellhouse ‘mess hall’ … the 101 year old hospital wing treated such notorious criminals as Al ‘Scarface’ Capone, ‘Doc’ Barker and the ‘Birdman of Alcatraz’, Robert Stroud – who spent 11 of his 17 years on ‘the Rock’ here. Many think some left a part or whole of their soul ‘upstairs’ in this original ‘big house’.

Peeling institutional-green paint on the walls and ceiling, barred doors and window – and the howling winds combine to create an atmosphere Hollywood special effects experts can only dream of.
